Meet Your Organizer
Hello! I'm Sydney Lawrenz, your soon-to-be organizer and biggest advocate during this life upgrade. I was born + raised in Wisconsin, then met my husband while earning my bachelor's degree at UW Stevens Point. We celebrated graduation with a three-week road trip and have been adventuring together ever since.

As for my organizing process, I use a few consistent methods followed by a personalized setup based on your physical space, current lifestyle + design preference. I love creating an aesthetically pleasing area. If you truly enjoy the appearance of something, it can provide extra motivation to keep it that way.

While I have been excessively organized since childhood, I also have ADHD. That simply means my systems at home may look different than those without a neurodiverse consideration at play. Every single person is unique to their needs; no matter what social media tells you about appearance or operation, your best bet to long-term happiness is to find what works for you.

Allowing me in your home + giving me trust in typically-private spaces is something I don't take lightly. Throughout the process I will remain approachable, professional, empathetic, constructive + non-judgemental. As a person I am energetic, optimistic + often look for humor in situations, all with the understanding that certain personalities or circumstances require a calm + compassionate response. Whatever you need me to be in a given moment, I’m ready to meet you there.
*In addition to my own standards, I also practice the NAPO Code of Ethics, which you are welcome to read more about by clicking the link.

Fun Facts
-I have a [specialty] coffee obsession + worked in the industry for eight years. Pairing a fresh cup with yoga + a good book is my favorite way to start the day. On weekends home I enjoy exploring a new coffee shop + park + brewery with my family.
-Outdoor activities in all seasons are my favorite hobby. Hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, skiing...I'm there.
-Trip planning + traveling are a core piece of my identity.
-In another life, I would do anything to be on the Survivor Dream Team (yes, the CBS show that's been on forever).
-Tree tapping for maple syrup (the Fifth Season) is a hobby I'd love to pursue more seriously.
-Environmental protection is the intention behind every action of my daily life. I've been fortunate to teach about it at our local nature center since 2015, and recently joined our Nature School as a pre-school teacher to continue sharing its importance.
My path toward a sustainable lifestyle
1. Perspective shift
I decided I want to leave the world better than I found it. Once I clarified what that looked like, making intentional decisions became much easier.

3. consistency
Getting organized shows immediate results. Living sustainably is a lifestyle choice that progresses over time. For years I used up what I had, then swapped out items as I needed them with conscious replacements.
2. attainable goals
I looked at my current lifestyle, identified what was within my control, and slowly made adjustments in my daily choices.
For me, that included clothing, home goods, and overall spending habits.
4. understanding
Plans change + values evolve. With that comes the need for fluidity in organizational systems. Having the compassion to say 'that served me then, but this is what I need now' removes unnecessary guilt and sets up a positive mindset for moving forward.
